We are recruiting for an accountancy practice based in Telford. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant who will be maintaining accurate financial records and helping to prepare and analyse financial information to assist senior accountants.
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the preparation of accounts, up to trial balance stage
- Dealing with bookkeeping, manual and software based
- Processing invoices
- Recording receipts and payments
- Preparing control accounts, reconciling ledger balances and other monthly and yearly accounts
- Completing and submitting tax returns, VAT returns and CIS returns
- Handling company expenses
- Payroll
- Liaise verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/enquirers
- Plus other ad hoc duties
Skills and Experience
The successful person will need to have previous experience of working in practice. Ideally you will have experience using various software packages including Dext, Quickbooks, Xero and TaxCalc.
