Temporary work leads to new direction

A Shropshire woman who was made redundant turned to temping to gain more experience – and has never looked back.

In fact, Anne Reynolds has proved to be such a success that she’s now scooped the latest Temp of the Quarter Award from leading recruitment agency, Prince Personnel in Telford.

Anne has undertaken several assignments through the agency and her latest employers were so impressed with her work that they nominated her for the prestigious title.

Maria Sandford, who runs Prince Personnel, said: “Anne turned to temp work as a good way to get experience in different industry sectors and to update her skills.

“And after several placements, many clients have praised her skills – with some even asking for her personally when looking for a temporary employee on a repeat booking.”

Her latest placement was with Severn Hospice and yet again, her skills have proved invaluable.
Jacqui from the Hospice, said: “Anne was a great support to our department in the months leading up to Christmas. She picked things up very quickly and was efficient and hard-working.

“She was always ready to go the extra mile and willing to get involved – a real team player.

“Anne is truly professional and everyone warmed to her. In fact, she did such a great job that at the end of her placement, we’ve found her a position in a different division of our business so she could continue as part of the team.”

Maria said the Temp of the Quarter Award was created to show temps how much they were valued and to encourage employers to nominate candidates they felt stood head and shoulders above the rest.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible number of nominations we have received this time around, and it has clearly demonstrated how much our clients appreciate the standard of the temporary staff we recruit.

“We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate candidates, and to thank all our temporary staff who represent us so well thanks to their dedication and commitment to the roles they take on.”
Winners of the Award have the option of choosing a hamper of goodies as a prize or asking Prince Personnel to donate £50 to their chosen charity.

Prince Personnel is committed to doing everything possible to ensure every temp on their books enjoys a successful placement – from pre-screening candidates, referencing, quality assessments, and legal checks – and the Award has proved extremely popular with both clients and candidates alike.
