Can you remember your first day at Prince? What was it like?
“I remember it like it was yesterday. I was a bundle of nerves but excited at the same time. I’d never worked in an open-plan office before, and to be honest, the idea really intimidated me. But looking back now, I wonder – what was I so worried about? Everyone was so welcoming, and it didn’t take long before I felt right at home.”
What originally attracted you to the company, and what’s kept you here for 15 years?
“At the time, I was working shifts as a hotel receptionist, and it was actually my auntie who recommended I get in touch with Prince. I came in to register and met with a consultant – and then I met Maria. She told me there was an opening within Prince itself. She followed up by sending me the job details, and the rest, as they say, is history. What’s kept me here all these years is the people, the culture, and the sense of belonging. It’s rare to find a workplace that feels like family – but that’s exactly what Prince is.”
How has your role changed or evolved over the years?
“I started out as receptionist, then progressed into the role of Office Coordinator, and most recently, I’ve taken on the position of Consultant Support. Through each step, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the business and learned so many different aspects of the role. It’s been an amazing journey of growth.”
Are there any standout memories or funny moments that have stayed with you?
“Definitely! We’ve had some brilliant and memorable moments over the years – fun Christmas parties, trips to the races, office bake-offs, quizzes, and all sorts of team activities. There’s always a great buzz, especially when the occasional prank makes the rounds – those are the ones that keep everyone laughing and talking long after they happen!”
What do you think sets Prince apart as a place to work?
“Prince truly feels like a second family. We work hard, but we also laugh a lot and enjoy being around each other. There’s a real sense of camaraderie. Our directors are fantastic – they genuinely care about each of us, not just as employees but as individuals. No one’s just a number here. The support we give each other as a team is something really special.”
How have you seen the company grow or change since you joined?
“There have definitely been lots of changes over the years – team members coming and going, new systems and processes, and adapting to changes in legislation. But one thing that’s remained constant is our ability to take it all in stride and keep moving forward. That resilience and adaptability is something I really admire about the company.”
And finally, how will you be celebrating 15 years of service?
“Well, knowing us, there’s definitely going to be cake involved – there has to be! I’m sure the team will make it a fun and memorable occasion, as they always do.”
