Maureen approached Prince Personnel after being made redundant when the company she had worked for 13 years sadly entered administration.
Re-entering the job market is a daunting prospect for most people, but Maureen approached the challenge with positivity and enthusiasm. After registering online, she came to the Prince Personnel Telford office for her first meeting. From the offset she was keen to listen to advice and guidance to help her secure her next role.
That positivity quickly paid off! Maureen had just one interview before securing her current temporary role; a one-month contract as a Purchase Ledger Controller for a leading global business in their busy accounts department. Settling in quickly she has become a real asset to the team. The result: her assignment has been extended a fantastic three times!

Here’s what Maureen said about her experience of securing a temporary position through Prince Personnel.
What’s your ‘Top Tip’ for securing a good temporary job?
I have worked in accounts for a long time and really enjoy it. I love technology and all the latest gadgets and, much to my husband’s dismay, I have a wonderful collection of computers and iPads.
As for getting a good assignment; I would advise against saying you can do something you can’t, it’s important to be comfortable with what you’re doing from the first day. Being flexible makes it easy for you to become part of the team whilst the company needs the extra help.
How did you feel about winning Prince Personnel’s Temporary Worker of the Quarter award?
I’m delighted to be chosen this quarter. I’m so pleased to have received good feedback from my employer, I’m really enjoying my time working there.
