Description
Our
client based in a rural location in between Telford & Shrewsbury. We are looking
to recruit an Administrator to join their team. The role will report to and
support the manager, serving as a point of contact for staff, students and
parents to ensure courses are run efficiently and effectively. The successful
candidate will be subject to a DBS check.
You will be
responsible for:
- Enrolling/registering students
- Issuing enrolment documentation
- Liaising with Accounts staff in relation to charging and
collecting fees
- Hastening deposit and full payments from agents/parents
and referring debtors to Accounts staff for further action
- Liaising with main term staff, as appropriate, including
the Bursar, Bursar's Assistant, the Health and Safety Officer and the HR
Department
- Preparing student folders
- Maintaining the agency database
- Assisting with preparing and circulating documentation
- Assisting with ensuring that all documentation is
up-to-date and reflects new developments and latest legislation
- Responding to general emails/telephone calls
- Dealing with enquiries
- Ensuring effective and timely communication with agents
and parents
- Undertaking efficient filing
- Controlling and maintaining stocks of stationery and
brochures
- Assisting with coordinating travel arrangements for
students, including taxi transfers for the collection and return of students from/to
airports or other destinations, as requested
- Other ad hoc duties as directed

- Ability to understand employment contract documentation
- Excellent IT skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel and
database systems
- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to deal diplomatically and discreetly with information
which may be confidential
- Ability to work well both as part of a team and independently
- The role is subject to a successful DBS check
