Materials Planner



The Company: We are currently supporting a successful, global manufacturing business in their search for a Materials Planner to join their established Materials, Planning and logistics team. The Materials Planner will be responsible for the effective scheduling and sourcing of materials for production. This is an exciting opportunity that has arisen through internal progression – therefore you will be joining a business that really invests in the growth and development of their people.

The Package:

  • Salary: up to £32K per annum DOE
  • 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

  • Working hours: 37.5 per week

The Role: The Materials Controller will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring materials are scheduled effectively for production requirements
  • Allocate materials schedules to suppliers ensuring sufficient flow of product into site
  • Monitor stock availability and amend schedules where necessary
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage any non-conformances or short-falls effectively
  • Effectively manage stock outs effectively

The Person:

  • Previous experience in a Materials planner / Materials Control / Expeditor / Production Controller / MRP type planning role will be essential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Production supply processes
  • Previous experience working with MRP and scheduling systems
