Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our long-term and well-established engineering clients, who are looking for a proactive and hands-on candidate with good administration capabilities within a order processing, planning and logistics environment.  This is an ongoing temporary role, however there is a possibility that a permanent role might come up within the business in the future. Full training will be provided. The role also include an early finish on a Friday.

Responsibilities and duties may include, but not limited to:

• Review, update and process all customer orders within set timeframes
• Issue accurate order acknowledgements are sent to all customers and any changes communicated throughout the process
• Ensure shipments are sent within agreed time frame with customer
• Procurement and expediting of all product required with suppliers
• Receive, check and book in deliveries and resolve discrepancies with suppliers
• Preparation of export documentation to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance
• Handling Import clearances
• Conduct Physical Inventory Counts, investigating any stock discrepancies
• Managing internal parts requirements
• Processing of Purchase Requisitions
• Answer the telephone calls coming into the business and log via ticket
• Updating the Systems accordingly within process guidelines

Skills and Experience

• Computer literate
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude to work and a willingness to learn
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Previous experience with ERP / MRP software would be beneficial
• Candidates who have previously worked as a Sales Administrator / Sales Order Processor / Planning & Logistics Coordinator would be ideal
• My client will also consider a bright, switched on recent Graduate
