We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Manager to join a growing food manufacturing business in Telford. At this exciting time in the organisation's development, they are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join them and drive the safety, quality and legality of their product range ensuring compliance with specifications and customer requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Food manufacturing Technical Professional looking to apply their knowledge and expertise in a single-site SME business where there are great opportunities for market growth and development of the organisation.

The Technical Manager will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the Technical and Quality Assurance functions
• Ensuring BRC and Supply Chain accreditations are sustained by implementing standards and processes across the business
• Maintain the HACCP and act as HACCP Team leader
• Ensure all document control procedures and records are managed effectively
• Manage and prepare specifications for customers, packaging and raw materials
• Oversee audit schedules and activities
• Responsibility for maintaining food safety compliance
• Manage the supplier approval and review process
• Effectively manage and non-conformances and the customer complaint process

Skills and Experience required:

• Previous experience within a Lead Technical or compliance role within the food manufacturing sector
• Strong knowledge of BRC Standards and processes
• Preference to develop their career within a SME organisation where you can play a pivotal role in the development of the Technical function
• Experience of auditing and leading the audit process
