The Client:                            

We are working with a leading global manufacturing business in the Telford area who have experienced continual growth over the last decade. They have an opening for an Operations Director to join the business as part of the Senior Leadership team and lead and develop the strategy for the Operations function of the business (including Production, Engineering, Quality and Warehouse). This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Operations professional to join an expanding and innovative business with an exceptional reputation in their field.

Package:

• Circa £80,000 - £100,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• 25 days annual leave + stats

The Role:

• Develop and execute the strategy for the Operations function
• Work closely and develop the Operations Management team to ensure attainment of business objectives
• Responsibility for effective management of operational budgets
• Effective reporting, investigations and analysis of manufacturing and engineering efficiency data
• Drive a LEAN and efficiency bias culture throughout the organisation
• Coach, mentor and develop the management team
• Manage cultural change and improvement across the business to drive employee engagement, retention, and development

The person:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing / operations leadership role
• Success in setting and delivering manufacturing strategy
• Strong knowledge and previous experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives and culture
• Strong leadership characteristics and experience in managing change
• Previous roles may include Operations Director / Manufacturing Director / Operations Manager / Site Leader / General Manager
