Description

This is a permanent opportunity working for well-established and highly successful manufacturing organisation that is now looking to recruit a Project Manager to coordinate customer projects and bring together the internal departments and functions to deliver customer orders on-time and within budget whilst ensuring customer specifications and quality standards are achieved, therefore the Project Manager will need to have an overall understanding of project deliverable constraints, costings, design, supply chain, with knowledge and experience in engineering and manufacturing principles.

Duties will include:

• Ensure production of project components is according to technical specifications & standards
• Continuously monitor all projects and to implement advance measures to eliminate any problems that may adversely affect project timeline
• Prepare & manage site documentation including site work permits, method statements and handover.
• Manage sub-contractor activity and performance
• To determine the correct material needs and coordinate with Design/Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Logistics departments
• To ensure the project deliverables are met at all times during the project term
• To give technical advice to the Production team and facilitate best practice and problem solving
• Communicate effectively the customer's aspirations to internal departments and ensure each department delivers on their assigned objectives to meet the project deliverables
• Ensure Design/Engineering capture the customers brief whilst taking into account our Production processes.

The successful candidate will need to have:

• Previous experience in managing projects of a technical / manufacturing nature.
• HNC level or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Ability to provide an effective communication channel between high-profile customers and internal teams
• Experience of using MS Project to plan and facilitate project timelines and critical points
• Strong understanding of supply chain, manufacturing and engineering principles
• Leadership characteristics to bring together all parties to reach a common goal
