This is an exciting opportunity to join a well – established global manufacturer in Telford. This is a permanent role, where you will be working within a very busy HR team providing support to the HR Business Partner to ensure the HR Department is compliant in all aspects of employment law. This is a role where you will get really broad and varied exposure and will lead to genuine progression in your career. Once fully up and running, there is the possibility of some hybrid home working a couple of days a week.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Oversee and support the HR administration team to ensure processes are fully compliant ensuring there is continual improvement of delivery and accurate recording
  • Assist in the recruitment of personnel when required with regard to interviews and then completion of job offer new starter documentation
  • Support Supervisors/Managers in disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Liaise and provide support to employees and management with Occupational Health providers, ensuring any recommended limitations are bought to the attention of the Manager of the Department and the Compliance Manager
  • Ensure Consistency throughout the business in all HR matters adhering to Employment Law, seeking advice if needed
  • Carry out company HR Inductions for all employees
  • Work with HR Business Partner to identify strategies to improve build and manage the talent development process/ programme identifying causes of retention to improve performance
  • Produce all documentation for personnel related issues, including contractual and procedural changes, attendance and welfare letters
  • Support HR Business Partner with projects and initiatives, organising team activities and mentor participants
  • Release, communicate, projects accepted. Arrange team building/employee events
  • Support the HR Business Partner with the HR group new project initiatives
  • Update HR notice boards
  • Ensure appraisal process is adhered too and highlight any concerns, provide support, training or guidance as required. Liaise with Senior Training Officer with any training requirements
  • Collate data for Gender Pay Gap analysis reporting
  • Collate data for KPI reporting looking at trends and UK manufacturing comparisons

Skills and Experience

  • Good computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft packages Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of working within a HR/Personnel
  • Department preferably within a Manufacturing business.
  • Working knowledge of Time and Attendance Systems - training will be provided.
  • Working experience of Payroll, preferably using Sage Payroll
  • Working toward CIPD qualification
  • An individual that is wanting to develop into a qualified HR Professional that has drive and commitment and can work under pressure meeting tight deadlines
