We are working with a well-established Manufacturing / Engineering company that is based in central Telford. They are looking for a Sales professional to join them on a permanent contract to help grow the sales department and to help drive in new business into the company. This role will be a mixture of existing accounts that you would like to grow, as well as trying to bring in brand new clients along the way. This role will be a 60/40 split of going out to meeting clients, who are mainly around the Shropshire area so travel will not be excessive.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Providing excellent customer service through face-to-face, email and telephone conversations
  • Growing sales internally and externally
  • Building strong customer relationships
  • Establish and grow relationships with preferred suppliers
  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks
  • Dealing with customers on trade counter, when required
  • Assisting Sales Team with technical enquiries
  • Provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
  • Entering quotations, sales orders and purchase orders into system
  • Writing detailed reports regarding customer and supplier interactions
  • Giving monthly sales target reports
  • Involvement in weekly Sales Team meetings

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in B2B sales
  • General industrial knowledge from any of these key sectors would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft package is essential
  • Knowledge of CRM systems
  • Background in engineering
