Our client, a national service provider is looking a HR Consultant to join their team on a permanent basis. We are looking for someone who is keen to work in a varied role, where no 2 days will be the same. You will be providing a proactive, professional and timely HR advice and support to your users with a range of queries, ranging from contracts & policies to complex case work. We are ideally looking for someone who has some HR experience, possibly at HR Advisor level or ready to move to this level.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited too);

  • Manage day-to-day HR/ Employment Law requirements of clients, including telephone, email and face-to-face liaison
  • Deliver advice and support to clients and team members within agreed timescales and those appropriate to the circumstances
  • Manage diary arrangements effectively to maximise efficiencies of time, expenditure and resources
  • Provide professional and pragmatic advice and support to clients, in line with legislation, best practice, and THR values, including options that are applicable to the client and their requirements
  • Deliver on-site support to clients, including ad-hoc support for complex matters, as well a regular support in accordance with support packages
  • Ensure all consultant activity is recorded on relevant systems, with accurate time recording for reporting and invoicing purposes
  • Attend agreed networking and other business events with the objective of promoting the Company to help generate sales leads and new business opportunities
  • Actively seek involvement in tasks, projects and events to develop promote own development and expansion of capabilities within the team
  • Act as an 'Account Manager' when handling clients HR requirements, developing agreed action plans as necessary
  • Proactively Identify opportunities for further business opportunities with both new and existing clients
  • Develop content for social media activity, blogs, newsletter etc.
  • Design and delivery of training and workshops
  • Attend agreed networking and other business events with the objective of promoting the Company to help generate sales leads and new business opportunities
  • Maintain a good working relationship with appropriate providers, business partners and other local businesses
  • Take the lead on internal projects and initiatives as agreed with management
  • Actively seek involvement in tasks, projects, and events to promote self-development and expansion of capabilities within the team
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding client activity and activity progress

To be considered for this exciting position, you will need a HR background and will have up to date knowledge of UK employment law and case law. Ideally, we would like someone at a HR Advisor or similar level but may consider HR Assistant level applications if you have the right character / confidence. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels, you will be able to demonstrate an aptitude for a wide range of HR disciplines and be able to react to situations by using sound commercial and practical HR advice. Full or Part CIPD qualified would be desirable.
