This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading distributor based in Shrewsbury. You will be part of the frontline order processing team the company where you will be processing and expediting sales orders and offering general customer services support.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Processing orders on to the system
  • Taking and expediting of sales orders over the telephone, email, fax and standing orders
  • Maintaining and updating the inhouse database
  • To act as the intermediary between the customer and purchasing and logistics, for resolution of queries and issues arising
  • Managing customer expectations and keeping up to date when unexpected delivery delays, delivery problems and order shortages occur.
  • Maintain relationships with existing and potential customers in order to facilitate the growth of the business profitably
  • Tracking deliveries
  • All related administration duties

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position you must demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative and be motivated to achieve results. Possess strong relationship development and communication skills to build positive relationships both with customers and colleagues. Must be well organised and have a professional telephone manner, strong IT skills are essential.
