We are working with a fantastic client of ours who have an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join their team in the production plant and stores. You will be managing tankers delivering raw materials and collecting finished products. This role requires a candidate with strong attention to detail, a good understanding of health and safety and physically fit to move mechanical arms to attach to tankers in order to load and unload. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Goods in and despatch
  • Moving storage tankers from the warehouse to the correct loading bays ready for collection or delivery
  • Liaising with gatehouse to allocate tanker vehicle to correct bay
  • Performing safety checks on tanker to ensure it's safe for transportation
  • Ensuring the size of the tanker is correct for the amount of product volume
  • Labelling tanker with correct product information
  • Moving the loading arm via hydraulics and manually guiding to connect to the tanker to remove the sealed lid
  • Connecting the pump to the tanker vehicle and setting the volume of product to be pumped into tanker
  • Assigning driver back to the tanker vehicle to transport finished products
  • Similar duties with goods-in; removing products from tanker into storage tankers ready for production use
  • Operating SAP system to input data on products moving in and out of the business
  • Wearing correct PPE when required to abide by health and safety regulations
  • Occasional forklift driving if required


Skills and Experience

  • Must be computer literate
  • Have very high attention to detail with a strong understanding of health and safety
  • Must be able to work in a very physically demanding role
  • Flexible to work your 8-hour shift between the hours of 6am till 6pm in busy periods
