We are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor for our Shrewsbury based client. This is a great opportunity to join a large but still expanding busy that has an excellent reputation in their field. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and enjoys a hands-on approach in HR. Working in a fast paced environment you will work well under pressure whilst maintaining a professional manner.

The role will be responsible for:

  • Providing support to directors, managers, and employees on matters of interpreting employment contracts and law; best practice and commercial HR; policy and procedure; day to day problem solving
  • Co-ordinating disciplinary, dismissal, grievance and appeals procedures
  • Supporting and coaching managers through capability procedure (ill-health or performance related)
  • Guide, support and educate managers at all levels, through formal business processes.
  • Ensuring your own general administrative duties including letter writing are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensuring professionalism and commercial awareness at all times
  • Confidently managing coaching at all levels

Overview of the candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in HR Advisor / HR officer level positions. CIPD 5/7 would be advantageous. You will have excellent communication skills across a range of levels, and will be confident in leading complex ER cases. You will have good time management, organisation and prioritisation skills, as you will be responsible for your own workload. Finally, you will be methodical in your approach, and be confident working on Excel spreadsheets. Some local travel will be required to attend sites within the group, so a valid driver licence is required.
