We are working with a very well-established and highly prestigious company in the Evesham area who are recruiting for an experienced Buyer to support the Purchasing activities within the business in managing all aspects of supply and demand.

The Buyer will be responsible for:

Managing all aspects of materials supply into and through the business

Purchasing and expediting materials and parts according to production schedule

Supplier liaison and building relationships with new and existing

Managing all negotiations around supplier T&C’s

Monitor supplier performance and manage and non-conformances

Analysing inventory and controlling stock levels ensuring effective levels for the business

Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve purchasing procedures and increase efficiency

Play an active role in NPI from a procurement perspective

Using ERP/ MRP system

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a Purchasing / Buyer / Supply Chain / Expeditor role

Must have previous experience buying for a manufacturing or engineering business

A strong understanding and experience with MRP/ ERP systems

A strong understanding and knowledge of engineering would be ideal

A CIPS qualification or working towards would be beneficial

Must be computer literate, communicate accurately and effectively

Previous and proven experience of cost saving activities
