Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join a growing business in the Crewe area to work day shifts. This is a prestigious and well-established company who offer a generous holiday allowance and the opportunity to progress.

The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for:

  • Managing goods-in and quality checking goods against purchase orders
  • Enter data onto stock system to update inventory
  • Manual handling goods in and out
  • Driving a forklift when required
  • Update records of shipped goods
  • Manage shipping costs for despatch
  • Unload deliveries and allocate stock to inventory and/ or production line
  • Pick orders and prepare boxes of parts ready for assembly on production line
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping and continuously working to improves process and efficiency

Skills and Experience

  • Must have previous experience in a Warehouse / Stores / Goods-in / Despatch environment
  • Computer literate
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Knowledge of lean methodologies and how to implement them
  • This role would suit a candidate with previous experience as a Warehouse Coordinator / Warehouse Team Leader / Warehouse Supervisor / Stores Operative / Stores Person / Shipping Clerk / Shipping Operative
