We are currently working with a forward thinking and successful engineering business that is looking to recruit a capable and driven individual to join their Supply Chain and Planning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is able to manage all facets of customer projects in terms of the planning, organising materials and parts, logistics and installation of customer orders from Sales order through to sign off.  

Responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Ensure customer orders are acknowledged, reviewed, and updated with progress throughout the scope of the project
  • Supporting and assisting with the Sales Order Processing of customer orders ensuring all orders are reviewed, updated and processes within the set timeframes
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure orders for parts and materials are placed and expedited with suppliers and that they are shipped within agreed timeframes
  • Provide weekly project progress and insights into status and financial forecasts
  • Create detailed project plans to monitor and track physical progress along with budgetary resources
  • Travel to customer sites where needed
  • Receive incoming parts and materials end ensure MRP/ERP is updated with accuracy
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation is scheduled with internal departments or vendors / suppliers
  • Manage Import / Export documentation and processes for the movement of parts
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Supporting continuous improvement within the business through active participating in CI initiatives

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in securing an interview for his excellent opportunity you must have experience working in managing technical projects with a strong background and understanding of supply chain, purchasing and logistics /planning/scheduling principles. Previous experience with MRP / ERP systems is essential. Candidates will also need to have a strong technical background with the ability to communicate at all levels. A planning or logistics or/and supply chain management qualification would be ideal but not essential
