Description

We are supporting an established local business in the recruitment of a HR Administrator to join them for a fixed term contract that is to cover a period where they are running a number of projects and need the extra support. The role will be providing generalist HR support with a range of administrative tasks to support the wider team.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:

To provide general administration and efficient support as required, e.g., updating HR employee databases, HR spreadsheets, answering telephone calls, taking messages, sending letters & appointment reminders, whilst communicating effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers, ensuring confidentiality of all written and verbal communication.

To support the Head of HR and wider team in the delivery of HR elements of organisational and cultural change activities such as restructures including assisting with preparing necessary documentation, taking minutes, keeping records, and tracking actions.

  • Housekeeping and audit of HR Systems
  • Assisting HR with the process of recruitment, including vetting candidates and assisting with interviews.
  • Supporting internal and external queries for the HR department.
  • Coordinating HR related training programs, workshops, and seminars.
  • Supporting with compliance- DBS, Driver Checks etc
  • To make recommendations for improvements in processes and practices.
  • To assist with project work as determined by Head of HR.
  • To cross cover and support HR Partners in times of absence and high workload.
  • Scanning of documents and files
  • Maintaining electronic employee records
  • To provide full administrative support for our occupational health service such as sending out appointment reminders and distributing reports

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position you must have previous experience of working in a HR administrator role. You must be very process driven, and the ability to work well in a team and be able to use own initiative. We are looking for someone who is immediately available and can start at short notice.
