  • £40000 – £50000 annual salary (depending on experience)
  • 25 days annual leave (no working over Christmas) + BH's increasing in service

The Role:

  • Responsibility for the efficient and effective flow of materials to ensure timely delivery of project deadlines
  • Manage procurement spend within budget and identify and execute opportunities for cost reduction
  • Implement and review procurement and supply chain processes ensuring LEAN methodologies are applied and lead times minimised
  • Identify and select suppliers for all materials and supplies into the business
  • Effectively negotiate favourable T&C's including pricing, lead times, quantities etc
  • Effectively manage the supplier base to ensure SLA's are met and any risk or threats to the supply chain are minimised
  • Utilise knowledge of import/export controls to ensure timely movement of items from the EU and RoW areas

The person:

  • Proven success within a similar procurement / supply chain role where you have been responsible for making business critical decisions and managing budgets
  • Experience working with an international supplier base that has built knowledge with import / export compliance and controls
  • Experience in developing and rolling-out supply chain strategies
  • Strong negotiation skills and previous experience in setting T&C's
  • A commercial mindset able to effectively forecast and manage potential risk
  • Strong data analysis skills (previous experience using tools such as Power Pivot or BI would be ideal)
