Description

Our established client is experiencing tremendous growth and looking to recruit a HSE Officer to cover maternity leave on a 12-month FTC. Supporting the HSE Manager, the role will include delivering an improved safety performance.  Promoting a positive health and safety culture through, implementing, coordinating, and maintaining the Health and Safety policies whilst complying with all relevant legislation and requirements within the group.

The Manufacturing Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the HSE Manager to ensure the site is compliant with all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, providing a safe workplace for all staff on site
  • Promoting team ethics and developing team working through employee training and personal development
  • Prepare regular reports as required on safety performance and departmental KPIs
  • Monitor performance against targets and assist the HSE Manager with implementing action plans
  • Working to ensure that all Accident, Near Misses and Hazards are reported and carrying out actions to prevent these
  • Ensuring staff across all shifts are performing the necessary actions to keep safe and promote a positive HSE culture
  • Assist in the writing of HSE Procedures in accordance with legislation for specific roles
  • Working with the HSE Manager to assist with Internal Audits process
  • Supporting the Training Officer with delivering new staff starter inductions and providing all relevant documentation required to instruct on HSE regulations and procedures

Skills and Experience

  • Must have previous experience in a Health and Safety role as either a Health and Safety Advisor / Health and Safety Manager / Health and Safety Consultant
  • Must have minimum 2 years' experience in a FMCG environment
  • Must hold a NEBOSH certificate or be working towards
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 would be useful
