Description

We are working with a well-established and market leading food manufacturing company in the Market Drayton area. They are looking for an experienced Food Health and Safety Technician to lead the team and drive hygiene standards. In return, the company offer fantastic benefits and great environment to work in.

The Food Safety Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring company are working to BRC Accreditation standards at all times
  • Continually looking for ways to streamline procedures and documentation
  • Managing and improving quality management systems
  • Coordinating internal and external audits
  • Investigating non-conformances and implementing correcting actions
  • Delivering food safety training to members of staff
  • Creating specifications for products manufactured
  • Keeping up to date with new legislation and implementing across the company
  • Assisting the business to achieve their technical objectives
  • Managing KPIs
  • Evaluating supplier approval system

Skills and Experience

  • Must have experience with BRC standards
  • Ideally hold a HACCP level 3 – lower levels or similar qualifications will be considered
  • Ideally Internal Auditor qualified with experience
  • Must be computer literate
  • A self-starter who is motivated and passionate to assist the business with achieving their objectives
