Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a long standing Telford manufacturer on a permanent basis. The client is looking for a practical HR generalist who will provide excellent HR advice and guidance on people matters, factoring risk, exposure legal compliance and best practise to a mutli-site and multi-disciplinary client base.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Working with the HRBP to provide appropriate advise, supportive action, assistance with the compilation of written responses and record keeping on all HR casework to produce an accurate audit of proceedings
  • Provide HR case support to the HR business partner so effective HR service is delivered to a demanding client base
  • To recommend and propose cost effective, practical HR solutions to people problems identified in the organisation
  • Providing advice on legal compliance and the risks associated with people decisions
  • Keeping abreast with legal developments and HR changes to provide up to date and relevant advice
  • Assist in the production of effective and legally compliant HR procedures and processes that reflect business objectives and the organisations culture and values
  • Working with business leaders and managers to provide delivery of business solutions
  • Setting up processes and procedures that provide the company with management information that can aid and inform the delivery of people initiatives
  • Involvement with company engagement initiatives to open two-way and transparent dialogue across the sites
  • Liaising with third party agencies when necessary in respect to legal advice, ET proceedings, ACAS and constitutional matters
  • Communicating and liaising with trade unions where the employee has the right to be accompanied and the union have been provided with the mandate to represent the employee
  • Reporting and collating on HR metrics such as absences and attrition to inform the business of trends and key performance indicators
  • Supporting management with recruitment initiatives and talent acquisition programmes
  • Following GDPR guidelines by cleansing employee data
  • Undertake project activates that support and drive the company's business plan
  • Providing support on any other HR related projects, people matters or administration duties when required

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role you must have CIPD level 5 or above with an accomplished understanding and practical handling of Employee Relations casework. You must be able to create and produce excellent standards of written correspondences with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. You must have strong influencing skills and excellent record keeping skills with the ability to undertake multiple work tasks and deadlines. You must have exceptional Microsoft office skills and be confident in proposing new ways of working that drive process improvements. You must be willing to undertake travel when required (although this will be very minimal) and understand the HR software such as Snowdrop.
