They are now seeking an experienced and well-versed Operations Manager to develop and lead the manufacturing operations team and take the business through to its next phase. Areas of responsibility:

  • Accountability, guidance and leadership to the production, purchasing, distribution, quality, and engineering teams
  • Develop and maintain operational processes to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Deliver projects to budget and time constraints
  • Determine and maintain departmental budgets
  • Set and evaluate operational KPI's to enable delivery of strategic goals
  • Ensure engineering requirements and preventative maintenance programmes are in place to safeguard production output
  • Production schedule adherence and ensure plans are efficient and effective
  • Training, development, performance management and recruitment of staff within the department

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record of success in an Operations Management role within a manufacturing / production / engineering environment
  • Previous experience in managing cross-functional departments and teams
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing improvement techniques such as LEAN, 5S and Six Sigma
  • Exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships and gel departments together
  • Aspirational leadership skills and an infectious desire to bring teams together to succeed
