Prince Personnel are working with a well-established and growing retail and distribution business in the Shrewsbury area. This role is to cover maternity leave. You will be reporting to the Finance Supervisor and form part of a 4 person finance team.

Duties will include:

  • Providing general accounting & administrative support to all branch activities
  • Mail order customer receipts and allocating the receipts against the appropriate invoices and credit notes
  • Liaising with the Senior Accounts Assistant
  • Liaising with the business's customer service departments with regards to discrepancies
  • Check, process and scan all supplier invoices
  • Liaising effectively with external suppliers
  • Complete supplier reconciliation forms
  • Check supplier statements
  • Check aged creditors report
  • Process month end procedures for P.O.P and Purchase Ledger
  • Perform general financial and administrative duties, as necessary to meet the objectives agreed for the finance department

The successful candidate will be computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office (in particular Excel). A formal accounting qualification is desirable, but not essential as is experience of working in a multi-currency environment.
