The Client:                           

We are working with a leading, global manufacturing business in Wolverhampton who are looking for an engaging and fresh-thinking Supply Chain manager to lead the supply chain team (purchasing, planning, warehousing and logistics) within the facility.

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will drive the effective flow of materials and product and utilise your expertise in Supply Chain to drive efficiency and productivity.

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be:

                               

  • Leading, coaching, mentoring and engaging the Supply Chain Team
  • Ensuring effective supplies of material and product to support attainment of production and despatch schedules
  • Ensuring an effective demand planning process with the ability to react to changes
  • Analysing demand data and historic sales to produce accurate forecasts and make recommendations
  • Creating and driving production schedules that meet customer demand, taking into account capacity, labour and raw material constraints
  • Optimizing use of the ERP system
  • Ensuring the effective despatch of product to customers

To be successful in this role you will need:

               

  • Previous experience within a Supply Chain Manager / Supply Chain Supervisor / Planning Manage / SIOP Manager role within a busy manufacturing environment
  • Excellent knowledge of planning and ERP systems
  • Commercially minded and financially astute with the ability to manage budget and cost
  • Experience in managing and implementing change
  • A management style centred around coaching, mentoring and engaging your team
