Prince are recruiting on behalf of a leading, global manufacturing business in Wolverhampton who are looking for a Shift Production Technician to join their team. You will be working to support production staff with the setting, running, and upkeep of blow moulding machines onsite, as well as ensuring the smooth running of the machinery and carry out basic maintenance and basic fault-finding tasks on production machinery.
This is a great role for someone who has previous experience with basic maintenance or repair machine faults or machine maintenance who wants to progress and develop further within this field.
The Shift Production Technician will be responsible for:
- Setting, running, and maintaining the onsite blow moulding machines
- Ensuring machinery is running efficiently
- Working to repair any minor machine faults
- Support with machine calibration
- Escalate any electrical or major maintenance repairs are escalated to the Engineering team
- Maintain the upkeep of the production area
- Adhere health and safety standards onsite
- Ensure production KPIs are met
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience with basic machine maintenance will be essential
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with plastic extrusion or plastic moulding would be beneficial but not essential
- This role would suit someone who has might be working as a Production Technician / Shift Technician / Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Engineer
