We are working with an international group of companies who are looking to hire a Sales Office Manager on a permanent basis. As Sales Office Manager you will oversee and manage the sales coordinators department in the business, whilst also managing several key clients’ accounts yourself. Managing a small team of mainly Sales Administrators, the role will focus on building strong relationships with customers, coordinating sales activities and driving the efficiency of the internal sales team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities and a proven tract record in sales and office management.

Sales Manager Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, pricing, orders, and resolving issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with the external sales team to create strategies for increasing sales and improving market penetration for the company product.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to drive additional revenue.
  • CRM implementation and ongoing management.
  • Supervise and mentor the internal sales team, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
  • Manage order processing, customer account setup, and day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of sales transactions, contracts, and other records.
  • Optimise internal sales processes and workflows to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company products, including their features, applications, and benefits.
  • Educate the sales team and customers about the technical specifications of company products and recommend the best solutions for their needs.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement measures to enhance the customer experience.
  • Respond promptly to customer feedback and implement solutions to improve service delivery.
  • Liaise with production, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Work closely with marketing to align sales strategies with promotional activities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in an internal sales role, with at least 3–5 years in a management or leadership position is essential.
  • You must have experience of working in the manufacturing sector, with experience in FMCG or Packaging sectors being an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • You will be proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyse sales data and develop actionable insights.
  • Leadership abilities to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ideally you will have experience in managing B2B sales within the packaging sector.
  • You will be customer-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and be results driven and goal-orientated.
  • You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • You will have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
