We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and ambitious Sales Executive to join a dynamic and supportive team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing relationships with end-user accounts and manufacturers across the UK, with the goal of expanding the company’s national customer base. Based primarily at the Telford head office, the role also offers flexibility for remote working several days per week.

This is a self-directed and evolving position, ideal for someone who is motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement. A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential. You should also be open to feedback as part of your professional development within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage new and existing customer accounts, from enquiry through to quotation, order processing, and fulfilment.
  • Provide expert advice on product offerings, pricing, and availability.
  • Convert sales enquiries and quotations into confirmed orders.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and develop key customer relationships.
  • Support continuous improvements across customer service, quoting, and order processing functions.
  • Contribute to departmental growth and development as the team expands.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales and customer service role, ideally within a similar industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver persuasive sales pitches and manage the full sales cycle with attention to detail and administrative accuracy.

Education and Technical Proficiency:

  • Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The application process:

Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce. We are committed to providing a barrier-free recruitment process, so if you require any reasonable accessibility adjustments within the application process, then please make it known at the earliest opportunity.

We will carefully consider your details and advise you if we’re able to progress with your application within 72 working hours. If you do not hear from us within this time your details won’t be retained. So, if you’re not successful on this occasion, do continue to respond to future roles we advertise. In the meantime, all good wishes and continued success with your search for employment.
