Prince are recruiting for Purchasing Coordinator to provide support to the Purchasing team within a prestigious, global manufacturing business. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will need to be comfortable working under pressure. This is a long-term client of ours which is genuinely a great place to work and a well-established Telford business, with a really supportive team of staff and some flexi-time options. This role will require a dynamic, experienced individual with existing experience in a Purchasing team who is able to undertake a wide range of tasks, and in return get to be part of an experienced and supportive team working for a leading, global manufacturing business.

The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Supporting activities around procurement for both direct and indirect commodities
  • Raising Purchase orders and liaising with relevant departments to support purchasing needs
  • Placing orders with suppliers
  • Expediting orders and ensuring smooth delivery, managing any issues in the meantime
  • Matching invoices to Purchase orders
  • Ensuring MRP/ERP system is kept up to date with procurement data

Skills and Experience

  • Existing experience within a Buying / Purchasing / Procurement role gained from within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in liaising with suppliers
  • Computer literate – previous experience on Excel and/or an ERP or MRP system
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Previous roles could include Purchasing Assistant / Buyer / Supply Chain Coordinator / Procurement Coordinator / Assistant Buyer / Purchasing Administrator
