We are working with an established client based in Telford who currently have a fantastic opportunity to join their experienced Purchasing and Supply Chain team as a Purchasing Assistant. This is a great opportunity to support an experienced Buyer in the day-to-day activities of the procurement function. This is a company who have experienced astounding growth over the last few years, and you will be joining a supportive, friendly and capable team.
The Purchasing Assistant will be getting involved in:
- Supporting the company Buyer with purchasing activities and tasks
- Raising purchase orders
- Checking requirements against order information
- Checking forecast data and raising any orders to avoid stock-outages
- Chasing and expediting orders with suppliers where needed and ensuring stock arrives on-time and in-full
- Ensuring all supplier information is kept up-to-date and accurate
Skills and Experience:
- A good understanding of purchasing / Supply Chain / inventory / Stock Control activities
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation
- This role would suit a candidate with either existing experience as a Purchasing Assistant / Purchasing Administrator / Materials Controller / Supply Chain Assistant or someone with strong administration skills looking to secure an opportunity to niche their career down the procurement and supply chain channel.
