I’m working with a well-established, manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join their Supply Chain and planning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to work in a driven and experienced team in a fast paced, and growing business.
The Production Planner will be responsible for:
- Planning Production and materials for a fast-paced manufacturing plant
- Developing production plans and schedules using forecast provided
- Raising schedules and creating BOM’s
- Making any necessary amendments to the production schedule and amending according to priorities ensuring production downtime is minimal
- Raising any necessary purchase orders
- Liaising with pre-existing suppliers and building relationships
- Attend and contribute to daily production meetings
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a Supply Chain / Production Planner / Production Controller / Production Scheduler role
- The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel – able to utilise V lookup functions
- Experience of working on a MRP system would be highly advantageous
