We are working with a successful manufacturing organisation in the Telford area who are looking for a driven NPD Chef to manage the product development process from concept through to launch. This will be a customer facing role where you will be working with some of the most popular names within the retail market. You will be developing products in line with customer requirements, new trends and customer demand. Through your passion for innovation and new product development you will be directly supporting the business with its growth and carve yourself out a great career opportunity.

The NPD Chef will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the commercial team and support customer visits and meetings leading the cooking, serving and discussions of product details
  • Work closely with the Technical department to ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with production teams to solve any issues with scaled production
  • Work to develop scalable production processes for both new and existing products
  • Manage recipe generation and ensure costings and specifications are kept up to date
  • Oversee the development kitchen and production areas ensuring a safe working environment
  • Manage project development projects inline with benchmarking for submissions, panels and customer demand

Skills and Experience required:

  • Previous experience within an NPD / Product Development role within the food manufacturing sector
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate as a minimum
  • Capable of leading discussions and be customer facing
