Our extremely well-established client in Telford has asked us to recruit for a Health and Safety Advisor for a 12 month Fixed-Term contract. This will be a busy and active role where you will be overseeing effective Health and Safety operations and activities as well as reviewing and updating existing documentation and policies.

As the Health and Safety Advisor you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure all health & safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work are up to date and effectively communicated
  • Monitor compliance with statutory health & safety obligations, providing reports to senior management and leadership
  • Conduct risk assessments, accident investigations, and implement recommended improvements
  • Oversee safety inspections, fire drills, and lone working procedures, ensuring full documentation and staff awareness
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in health & safety standards across the organisation
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive health & safety training programme in collaboration with HR
  • Liaise with external health & safety consultants, insurers, solicitors, and contractors to ensure best practices
  • Prepare and distribute health & safety reports and meeting agendas, ensuring actions are completed on time

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience of working within a Health and Safety role
  • Qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate level
  • Excellent knowledge of Health and safety legislation and experience of keeping policies and procedures updated and compliant
  • Experience from a variety of industry backgrounds will be considered
