Our long-term National client in Telford are recruiting for an experienced Fleet Contract Coordinator to join their evolving business. This is a great time to join as they are looking to streamline and improve processes within the business to optimise efficiency.

As the Fleet Contract Coordinator, you will be working closely with the Fleet Manager and Procurement Manager to manage and cleanse the existing maintenance contracts. You will be looking at existing contracts, negotiating fees, and working to build a reputable list of suppliers.

You will also be involved with investigating vehicle downtime and scheduling appropriate times for fleet maintenance and services with suppliers.

The Fleet Contract Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the Fleet Manager and Procurement Manager
  • Investigate existing maintenance contracts with the aim to reduce costs and negotiate fees
  • Schedule fleet maintenance and repairs with suppliers
  • Manager vehicle downtime and fleet absence
  • Support with improvement projects within the department
  • Collate reports regarding fleet maintenance and downtime

Skills and Experience required:

  • Must have a strong transport background
  • Experience managing and negotiating contracts
  • Strong understanding of fleets and transport processes
  • CPC qualification – preferred
  • Computer literate
  • This role would suit a candidate who has previously worked as a Transport Supervisor / Transport Coordinator / Fleet Supervisor / Fleet Coordinator / Transport Compliance Coordinator / Transport Planner / Fleet Planner
