The Client:                           

We are working with a successful manufacturing and distribution business in the Telford area who are at an exciting point in their organisational journey. looking for someone to Lead the Continuous Improvement projects for the site to improve business efficiency and generate saving through Lean activities. The Continuous Improvement Manager will use a variety of tools and techniques to put into place processes that will lead to maximum results. As well as this, the Continuous Improvement Manager will lead the planning and coordination of manufacturing techniques and propose and support alternative methods through working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality departments to drive through change and efficiency.

As the Continuous Improvement Manager you will be getting involved in:

                               

  • Identifying, implementing and driving the CI activities throughout the manufacturing site through medium and long term improvement project plans
  • Share in knowledge and support other business functions in the principles of Lean manufacturing
  • Preparing and reports on CI activities and presenting to all levels including board
  • Drive Continuous Improvement activities throughout the manufacturing site on time and in budget
  • Supporting the Root Cause Corrective Action processes to ensure targets are achieved
  • Support and drive the scrap/waste elimination projects

To be successful in this role you will need:

               

  • CI experience and have taken a lead / management role in the application of Problem solving and process improvement activities gained from within the manufacturing sector.
  • You will be able to demonstrate specific achievements from projects you have led and delivered
  • Relevant qualifications within Lean practices / continuous improvement would be advantageous but not essential at this point
  • Previous experience as a Continuous Improvement Manager / Continuous Improvement Lead / Continuous Improvement / Process Improvement Manager / Lean Specialist
