Jane has award-winning skills

A Shropshire woman who turned to temporary work as a way of updating her skills has scooped a top award for her commitment and dedication.

Jane Satterthwaite has been named by Prince Personnel, from Telford, as their latest Temp of the Quarter.

She approached the agency after she returned to the UK after living overseas, and has since temped regularly on a wide variety of assignments including reception and customer service positions.

Maria Sandford, who runs Prince Personnel, said: “Jane found the temporary route was a great way to get back into the jobs market, as it gave her the opportunity to update her administrative and customer service skills and experience various office working environments.

“She is a super candidate who always has a smile on her face, and is extremely professional and a pleasure to work with.

“Jane has been invited back on many occasions to work for the same prestigious clients when they’re looking to fill a temporary role, and their willingness to offer her additional placements is a real credit to her.

“Their loyalty to Jane shows they appreciate the effort she always puts into her tasks and responsibilities, and how much they value her positive and focused approach. Jane is a real team player who has been so reliable, and happy to help out on short term contracts, often at very short notice.”

As a reward for taking the title, Jane has selected a £50 charity payment which she has chosen to donate to Cancer Research – a cause close to her heart as she has previously lost close friends to the disease as well as battling it herself.

The Prince Personnel Temp of the Quarter Award was created to demonstrate to temps how much they were valued and the entire agency team gets the opportunity to nominate anyone they believe deserves the title.

“We appreciate the hard work that our temps put into assignments and we wanted to create an award to show them how grateful we really are,” said Maria. “As an agency we’re very proud of the temporary staff we have on our books and the way they represent us so well, so it’s a great chance for us to thank them in a high profile and public way.”

Prince Personnel is committed to doing everything possible to ensure every temp on their books enjoys a successful placement – from pre-screening candidates, referencing, quality assessments, and legal checks – and the Award has proved extremely popular with both clients and candidates alike.
